Lee Young Shin, the single mom, was having a hard time caring for her grandfather who has Alzeimer's and keeping her daughter's HIV condition a secret while teaching her how to live with it. Min Ki Seo was an arrogant person who looked down on people and in meeting Lee Young Shin who accepted her fate and tried to make the best of it despite all odds, he slowly changed for the better and became a warm and caring person.

16 episodes; melodrama/romantic/comedy

I absoluely love this drama, it is my favorite. It even bumped Goong off my list of top favorite dramas. The relationships between the main girl, her daughter and the grandfather are adorable. The main girl is a very strong woman trying to take care of her daughter and her dementia stricken father. His love for chocopies are so cute! It is heartbreaking to see bom, her daugher being treated like crap by the villagers because of her AIDS. Even though she is very pretty, throughout the whole drama, she is seen wearing conservative clothes, to fit in with her poorness. She used to be a rich girl but not anymore. It's one of those riches to rags stories. While the guy that she liked, had a rags to riches story. Her life is sad in that she was pregnant with the guy she loved but she later found out that he only slept with her as a bet. Even though he actually liked her, she doesn't know that. And now he is engaged with a fiance. Of course he doesn't know he's got a child.

The main guy, the surgeon, makes it onto my list of favorite guys in dramas. He is charismatic in the way he saves the villagers from their random sicknessess and problems with his surgeon skills. He lives with the main girl and their relationship is subtley progressing throughout the drama. I love how the focus isn't entirely on their relationship but mostly on the village and their progressing openness to AIDS. It is cute how he starts to fall for her. He was originally there because his dead girlfriend left her bear with Bom. And he was so depressed he wanted to take the bear back. I'm still not sure why he stayed or anything. I think it was to deal with the consequences of his girlfriend being the doctor that gave Bom AIDS.

Bom's real dad, the other guy's mom, quickly wants the main girl to go and get married so that the other guy won't find out Bom is his daughter and that he won't leave his fiance for the main girl. It's funny because Bom and her real grandmother look exactly alike. They even have a mole on the same place. Probably drawn in, but still.

This drama is a 5/5. It is so good and also very sad. It has its comedic moments, along with moments of pure sadness.

24 episodes + 1 special; romantic comedy

One of the best dramas ever. This is the drama that got me hooked onto dramas in the first place. It is definitely hilarious, the comedy part is amazingly done. By our very own, lovely yoon eun hye. This was her first drama and her big break, this drama definitely got her name out there. She is an amazing actress that can convey comedy amazingly well. She is hilarious and beautiful at the same time. She was in several other dramas, such as Take Care of the Young Lady, 1st Shop of Coffee Prince, and Vineyard Man. I love her as an actress, especially in this movie. Her whole family adds to the comedic aspect. She is a girl who is in love with Shin, her fiance, but however, he is in love with his girlfriend. Remember their marriage was forced. She is trying to cope with living her new life in the palace, and no matter how hard it is, she is always smiling.

The main guy, Shin, is the crown prince of the palace. However, he was not originally the prince, the princedom was supposed to go to his cousin, yul. Shin is one of those apathetic cool levelheaded guys, or so i think. Either that or he's a really horrible actor. I couldn't tell if he actually fell for the girl or not. I was never sure... He was in another drama, called the devil. That wasn't so great either. Well, i have nothing really to say about him.

My favorite character in this drama was Yul. He was adorable and cute and the best friend type character. Although he was supposedly the bad guy in this drama, I didn't see it at all. It was mostly his mother who was the bad guy and I still don't see why he and the main girl don't end up together. His character is an ideal boyfriend type. He was in other dramas such as Witch Yoo Hee. In the drama Goong, he is jealous that Shin is getting all these things that were supposed to belong to Yul, including Chae Kyung. He is in love with her and we can all obviously tell, props to his acting. It would be sad seeing the girl you love married to some guy that treats her like crap because he is in love with some other girl, knowing that she could have been yours. Well, his life pretty much sucks because of his mother pushing him to do whatever it takes to become the crown prince. She's one of those power hungry types that forsake her love to marry the dude who would be crown prince, who ended up dying so the guy she was really in love with, already married to someone else, ended up crown prince. What a sad life, and how ironic is that.

Another aspect that made this drama amazing is the soundtrack. The music was amazing and I completely fell in love with the soundtrack. Although it somewhat drags in the middle, its still an amazing drama. Definitely on my drama to buy list for when I'm rich. I give this drama a 5/5

God of Study

Kang Suk Ho is an ordinary lawyer who decides to take up a job at the nearby high school. After seeing the conditions of the school and the poor grades all the students have, Suk Ho decides to create a special class promising admission to the most prestigious college in Korea, "Chun-Ha-Dae University." Five of the most laziest students - Hwang Baek Hyun, Gil Pul Ip, Na Hyun Jung, Hong Chan Doo, and Oh Bong Goo join the class to in order to prove that they can do it with hard work and dedication.

16 episodes; school/comedy/romance; dragon zakura

I have to say, this drama was amazing, although some parts of the plot, like the romantic aspect never actually happened, although hinted at it. Like both the main guys like the main girl, and after all the buildup, it just stops. The drama doesn't talk any more about the romantic part and nothing happens... which doesn't make any sense, I mean, if you're going to include it, might as well go all the way. Not just halfway and wonder if they just forgot about it.

Well, this drama is about five students trying their best to study and get into a good school to change their life. The main guy is a punk, fighting kid with an attitude. The other main guy, headphones dude, is more interested in dancing than is studying. The third main guy is a fat chubby kid that likes to study. The main girl is a kind girl that studies hard, and the other girl is one of those beautiful girls, she really likes the main punk dude.

This is a really inspirational drama especially about the teachers teaching methods. They teach in a way to make the kids happy and interested to learn whatever they are learning. It also has some good test taking skills.

This drama also shows all the hardships each student has to deal with and how the teachers try to help them solve it.

I thought this drama was amazing and give it 5/5. Although it started to drag on in the middle, and the only thing that kept me going is if the students actually got into the school or not.

JIN

The story follows a brain surgeon named, Minakata Jin, who has spent the last two years in anguish, as his fiancee lies in a vegetative state after an operation he performed. One day, he faints at the hospital and awakens to find himself transported back in time to the Edo period. He is soon attacked by a samurai, but he escapes with the help of a man named Kyotaro. Kyotaro suffers a serious injury to the head while trying to protect him, but Jin manages to save his life despite a lack of proper medical equipment. Because of that, Kyotaro's sister Saki begins taking an interest in Jin and becomes his assistant. Meanwhile, Jin is determined to find a way back to the present.

11 episodes; medical drama

Another medical drama. It's pretty cool how he uses everyday tools in order to perform his brain surgeries. Such as a hammer and a nail in order to make a hole in the head. It's interesting in a scientific way to see him cure people of cholera and of hepatitis. He makes penicillin and now we know what an IV is made out of. A very interesting drama, and quite fun to watch because you never know what injury is going to happen next. Although it starts to drag a bit in the middle and the ending is just horrible.

The conclusion didn't wrap up the drama at all, instead of solving the question of who was the myterious bandaged man, it just says that Jin wonders if it was him, or Ryoma... which doesn't quite help at all. Also, the fetus that we creepily are reminded of constantly throughout the whole drama, other then us being reminded of it, it serves no purpose. I expected it to play a big part, but no. Also, the method of how he time traveled is not clear, the love triangle in the end dissolves because the other woman went away. However, because Jin never expressed any feelings towards her, it still feels like the romantic aspect was not solved at all either. In other words, this drama needed to fix up its sloppy ending.

JIN was a great drama to watch. Perhaps for only the first couple episodes though. I'll give it a 3/5, it would be a 4 but that ending was a disappointment. The suspense of figuring out the myster was all that kept me watching it, and that mystery was never solved, a huge disappointment.

i'll most likely be doing a short review of most of these, however, some dramas, i just really can't remember what they're about. meaning they sucked. so i'll somehow review them.

Code Blue

If it can be treated one second earlier, the heart might start beating again.
If there is one extra helicopter, another life in danger may be saved.
If one more life can be saved, the Japanese medical community may regain trust.
There are more lives in this country that can be saved.

The "Doctor Helicopter" system was legalized in Japan in June 2007. A medical team is dispatched to the patients on a helicopter to provide medical care in the field as soon as possible. One day, four young physicians are assigned to this latest medical system. The doctors experience traumatic medical situations, deal with personal ambitions, witness the fragility of life, and they grow personally and professionally.

11 episodes; medical drama

Code Blue, just another medical drama. Pretty good I suppose with exposure to the medical world. Deals with all the hospital traumas, such as the impossible people; dealing with deaths. The story is about four very different interns. One with the brains and the coolness to be able to deal with patients in a way that has no emotion attached to it. Another one is an extremely nice girl that can't help but be kind. One is a funny guy that is a bit lacking in the brains and doesn't really have a chance to do much about the helicopter thing. The other girl is one of those confident ones. Well, each episodes, there are new patients, new emergencies, and new problems that spring up for the four interns. Considering all medical dramas are the same, there really isn't much to say, although, I am very glad that this drama was able to focus on the medical part. No romantic parts at all in this drama.

In conclusion, I consider this drama very well made and would give it a 4/5.

16 episodes total; melodrama/romance

A new drama I just started, even though it came out around last winter. I started it because it said it was a melodrama, and I just thought a melodrama would be like Thank You.

Well, it first started off with the whole, little kids thing. which only lasted about two episodes. It could have been longer, but oh well, the first episode was basically about the two main people and how they meet, and how their love for each other never acdtually happens. It also introduces the main guys family life and how difficult his childhood was.

Then in episode three, its back to the present and the main girl is going to get married to some dude that the main guy knows. And since she ran away from home, no one knows what she's been doing. And she pretends not to know the main dude, I suppose that pisses him off and now he wants to get with her.

And that's about it for now, considereing i'm only in like episode five. Nothing really cool has happened except for the fact that in this episode, the main guy will discover that the main girl has had his pendant (memento of his father) for years. Haha, I saw that in the commercial. Oh, and now she knows it's him, and her good for nothing fiance who ditched her at her engagement for his ex girlfriend wants her back now. And the ex girlfriend is going to request the main dude as her boyfriend, so I'm guessing a nice big love square will ensue.

So far, I like this drama because the focus is mainly on the main guy. And he's definitely mellowed out. Compared to the kid that used to go around punching. people that would insult his mother. If i'm going to do this blog right, i might as well put pictures of the actors and shit too. okay. well, here's the main dude. His name's Go Soo. He's been in a couple other dramas, none that i know too well. he's pretty good so far. but i would love to see how in the eight years that flashed by, how exactly he mellowed out and how he dealt with the girl's disappearance. in this drama, his name is kang jin.

the main girl, the girl that kang jin likes is this one. she was in tazza (a drama on my list to watch) AND couple of fantasy?!?! omg. no wonder she seems familiar. although her character in this drama is completely different. in this one, she's more of the calm one. her name's han ye seul. and in the drama, her name is han ji won. so far the drama is about her love for kang jin and her being with the other guy. and that typical love triangle with architecture business things going on in the side and the whole other story about ji won's dad and the two ladies. normally, i would put the two supporting casts' pictures in but, i'm too lazy. well, back to the drama. well, the other girl, is the director of the architecture firm the main guy works in. she is in love the main guy, USED to go out with the other guy that's now currently in love with the main girl. yes, i know, love triangle. well, the two mains obviously love each other but can't be with each other because the main girl's brother died because he was looking for the main guy's pendant on his sister's behalf. so it's all complicated, and then, she ran away after that happened.

this drama's not that bad i suppose. Not that amazing either, I suppose it's worth passing the time for. I'll give it a 3/5. For now anyways, and I'm a little more than halfway done with it. All I'm waiting for is to see how they end up together. Although I'm predicting there will be troubles coming from the family later.

I love this drama for all of the time skips. There's been one for every time the main couple have a chance of getting together, and then, something happens that drives them apart for a couple years.
