The Innocent Man

Smart and promising medical student[7][8] Kang Ma-ru (Song Joong-ki) was deeply in love with his slightly older neighbor Han Jae-hee (Park Si-yeon), a television reporter.[9][10] But when her situation takes a turn for the worse and Jae-hee becomes desperate to escape poverty,[11] she meets a man who changes everything—a rich CEO who introduces her to a life of comfort. So she turns her back on Ma-ru, choosing money over love.[12]
The brutal betrayal leaves Ma-ru fractured—not just angry, but a completely changed man. A few years later, Ma-ru is now 30 years old and works as a bartender and gigolo, no longer a "nice guy."[13] He then meets Seo Eun-gi (Moon Chae-won), a young chaebol heiress who's being groomed to take over her father's conglomerate.[14][15] Eun-gi is cold and calculating, business-savvy, and raised by her father to never show emotion to anyone.[16][17] But Ma-ru intrigues her, and she becomes curious until she can’t stop thinking about him.
Ma-ru decides to take advantage of her as a pawn in his plans for getting back at his ex Jae-hee.[18][19] and Eun-gi falls in love with him.[20] Just when Ma-ru is beginning to genuinely care for Eun-gi, she finds out the truth and they break up. But a car accident causes Eun-gi to lose her memory, and she enters Ma-ru's life again.[21]

20 episodes; revenge melodrama

Episode 1-8
I'm currently on episode 8, and I really think I have to give up on it. The way Kang Ma Ru keeps going back to the girl that he is trying to get his revenge on just sickens me. I just can't force myself to watch this anymore. The story seemed really interesting but as soon as I started to watch, my hopes began to fall. And even though I pushed through all the way to episode 8. I just don't think I can continue anymore.

Episode 8+
OK, so I've continued and even though Ma Ru went back to Jae Hee because she called and said "Her brother is trying to kill her, help me". Even though he figured out (last minute) that Jae Hee was lying about the whole thing, the fact that he still went there running just really made me cringe. Clearly he still loves her and would do anything for her, but the fact that she's still using him and his love to try and get out of any problems she has, is what makes this show so messed up.

My Feelings
So as of right now, I'm not really feeling this series. Mostly because its got all the typical components of a kdrama. As in, amnesia. Any time a main character gets amnesia, I'm like. UGHHHHH. Also, there's a lot of plot holes in this. Like, how does Jae Hee somehow become president of Tae San Group within a year or so of after the president dies/Eun Gi disappears. There's plenty of more qualified people to run that company. Jae Hee didn't even do much in running the company. Why didn't anyone fight her for that position? I don't know.

Also, I just hate Jae Hee so much that I don't think I want to continue the show. You never really know her true intentions. Like did she actually like Ma Ru before the whole murder thing went down? Does she even like this lawyer dude that she kissed in like episode 4? Does she even like the president that she somehow has a kid with and was planning to marry? She's just so manipulative but she doesn't think that she's being evil.

Also, I never really understood Eun Gi and Ma Ru's love story line. It didn't really convince me that she had fallen for him. Or if he even really like her or Jae Hee.

PLUS, why didn't the lawyer just call 911 when he heard the president dying on the phone? Or submit that to the police?
